Kids Say the Funniest Things

Austin brought me a glass of water and I asked him if it was from the regular tap or the fountain.

He very earnestly replied, "You think I'd give you beach water? There's naked babies in there!"

I asked him, "You think our tap water comes from the beach?"

Austin, "Yes, and there are naked babies swimming in there!"

Too funny! He sees naked babies in the water at the beach and figures the water comes from the beach to our taps! LOL!

Life With Boys This Spring....

Home Made Hammock

This worked great until it flipped over and he landed on his hip! This is a sandbox lid slung over a rope ladder.

Cooper was told to put on a hat because he is fair and I did not want him burnt. He chose a snow hat!

Ride 'Em, Cowboy!

Austin painted himself and Cooper with beards one day.

The patio set that Ray and I gave each other for birthdays and anniversary present. We have never had one, so it is wondeful!

Nap Time Brothers

Austin's Home Made Mustache!

Our boys are told to make themselves snacks when they are hungry. Obviously, this little boy is very hungry! And he ate it all! He *loves* food and always has.

Cooper Making His 'Magination'. He came to me one day and told me he needed, 'something' for his imagination. I am always telling the kids that they need to use their imagination, or if they are doing something wonderful I make reference to their 'imagination'. So I think he figured an 'imagination' was something you could make!

Austin came by later and looked in the bucket and said, "It's not doing anything!" And Cooper looked at him in disgust and said, "Yah!!! It needs more stuff!" *laugh* Soon, Austin was also adding ingredients!

Fun in the Mud

Mighty Man Austin

Austin was hilarious here. I look outside the door and see Austin wearing these ridiculous short pants and I tell him that they are Briton's pants! He laughs and tells me he couldn't find any of his own, and since he is so tiny his waist fits into Briton's pants!!

It's a Sports Court - No! It's a Lake!

This June, our Sports Court flooded with some good spring rains. The kids were thrilled! They were not expecting rain and therefore, did not have the right gear. They went outside in pants rolled up and no rain boots - wading! They loved it. They grabbed their beach boats and spent lots of time floating boats and giving *worms* rides! Can you imagine! Ick!

At least the little guy had his boots! Sandles worked well too!

Racing around on bikes through a flood -what a hoot!

Car Washes and Party Time

Recently our boys had some friends over for an afternoon of car washing and then pizza party fun. The boys all arrived and the kids got to work washing Ray's truck and my van.

Littlest Helper

While this was going on, we, of course, had to have a water fight! Austin climbed up on top of a ladder and said, "Shoot me! I'm a target!" Next he stood in the middle of the driveway and said it again! So, of course, he was shot!

And again he sat on Ray's truck and was the victim! Finally he said, "Stop! Stop!"

Willing Victim

After the water fights and the car washing was over, the bigger boys went to the trampoline to jump. Unbeknownst to them, the two little boys - ages 8 and 4, had gone to opposite sides of the house, grabbed the two hoses and walked around the house to meet on the far side by the trampoline! It was a riot! They then proceeded to spray the boys that were trapped in the trampoline net!

Payback Time For Austin!

Before the kids had dinner they were playing on the sports court. Colt and his friend, Eric, decided to fill up water balloons and bombard the kids through the window. It was hilarious when one of the kids through a balloon and it didn't break. I gave one of the kids on the ground permission to wing it back up to the boys in the bedroom. We about busted a gut when his aim was so good that the balloon went *through* the window and hit the far wall!! I suppose most parents would not like that - but it was so unexpected and so deserved! *laugh*

Filling the Balloons

Looking For Victims

Cooper was so cute. He kept filling up his five gallon bucket with about 4" of water - all that he could carry. And he would go up to Ian, Dane's friend, and say, "Stand still, Ian. I want to get you wet!" And Ian, being the nice boy that he is, would oblige! He made Cooper's day!

Stand Still, Ian.

Pizza!

Movie Night!

Late Night Fun

When the night was over and the boys were waiting to get picked up, they had a last minute game of basketball and bike riding fun. It was a great day for everyone!
