Next stop was the Golden Gate Bridge. Here we learned that each of those cables that we see holding up the brigdge is actually a bundle of 27,000 cables all encased in one cover!
Here is a statue of the founder of the Golden Gate Bridge.
The bridge was actually supposed to be painted a regular steel grey colour, but the people got so used to the rust coating orangey colour that it ended up being left that colour!
