By the time we left our motel this morning we were behind schedule. This knocked us back a bit on the time we were to get to the lighthouses. I was planning on being there at 1:30 and having the afternoon to see the lighthouses and explore the tide pools. Silly me! I had no idea of what the weather was like on the Oregon Coast in winter!!! WET!!!
We arrived at the Yaquina Head Lighthouse at 3:30 and they closed at 4:00 pm. Dane was feeling lousy, but did not want to miss the lighthouse as we had been studying them for school. It was blustery and rain was sloughing in from the ocean and we RAN!

Once we got in the building we discovered it was *free day*, so we didn't have to pay for our tour. And we also found out that there was one more tour happening that day and we got there in the nick of time!
