When we got off the bus the view was down this side street. This shows how steep some of the hills are in San Francisco!
Our boys have learned all about cathedrals through our Middle Ages studies. We read a book showing how cathedrals were built. They have also read about Saint Francis of Assisi and in this cathedral there are stained glass windows showing his life. There is also a statue of him there.
There are paintings all down the walls in the cathedral. This one shows the Great Fire of 1906.
