Torrential Downpours and Moss

Monday morning in Washington was WET!! The rain was incredible! The traffic was amazing! I am used to a two lane highway, but in the States there are three lanes running down to Oregon. Even on a Monday morning around lunch time it was so busy!

It Was Like This For Hours!

We saw many interesting bridges. Since I was driving it was hard to get the pictures in time. But here are a couple of the neat ones. This green one goes in humps like this about ten in a row!

After we got to Albany, Oregon, we headed to the coast along Highway 20. That was interesting trying to find that road. I have to say, I didn't do too badly. I did not get lost or take the wrong way once!

Once we got onto the backroads of Highway 20 it was very beautiful. It was like being in a rainforest. There was so much rain and so little sun in the woods that the moss is incredible! I would like to have been able to get more pictures, but it was hard to pull over. I had to have a child try to shoot pictures out the window, so the pictures don't give the area justice. Every single branch of every single tree was covered in thick moss! It was so beautiful! There were ferns growing every where also.
